Campaign Story

I am seeking an opportunity to gain experience and I am keen to learn and enthusiastic about getting funding. During my training at Molapo, I gained the relevant skills and knowledge related to Electrical trade theory. I am certain that appropriate training will aid me in advancing my electrical knowledge, as I will gain work base experience.

I heard about Artisan Training Institute (ATI) at the Molapo campus. I believe ATI is a great place where I can gain relevant experience, I believe the long history of ATI and the leadership that this institute has in the Artisan industry is what I am looking for, as a stepping stone in advancing my skills and contributing positively to the Institute’s culture. The fact that ATI is recognised by UN University as a centre of expertise, and the standard that this institute upholds pertaining to technical skills training, it would be a privilege to be part of such a culture.

I am multi-skilled, and a lot of people do not know that I am able to fix shoes. I learnt the skill of fixing shoes from a young age. This skill has helped me over the years to be able to pay attention to details and solve problems. What set me apart is the ability to attract, charm and influence those around me.

In the next 5 years, I would like to see myself as a qualified Electrician. My mission is to change lives through Engineering. I believe I should be funded because I have the necessary skill and qualities to be trained.

This opportunity will unleash the potential I have, I am self-disciplined and committed to being trained to a high standard. I believe that this trade is a solution to the current plight that South Africa is facing regarding electricity.
